ttcrider.ca, home of the TTC Subway Rider Efficiency Guide, is putting out a call for Unorthodox Tips for Riding the TTC. Anything you can do to help promote the call is appreciated.

They are looking for complicated and simple tips that people can use when riding the TTC. Some examples are:

(1) when crossing from the University/Spadina subway line to the Bloor subway line, the options are to do this at either Spadina station or St. George station. It's much quicker to do this at St. George station.

(2) if you hear a subway pulling into the station while you are walking down the stairs to the platform, look to see if the people further down the stairs who can see if it is your train or not are looking like they are starting to hurry. If they are, you should too. Exaggerate your body language in response to seeing whether it is the right train or not for the sake of those further up the stairs. This is only effective in stations with divided platforms.
