Vintage Desires
image

For all you retro design maniacs, is your Ikea-nourished pre-fab interior so tasteless in contrast to the luxury of your world wise amigos? Your grunge habitat looks plain + ragged in contrary to your minimal friend's diverse blend of mod with new. Simulate your inspiration by visiting vintage connoisseur of West Queen West's Koma Designs.
Just about two years old, this exceptionally unique retro shop exhibits a mass of styles; they feature pieces in an eclectic range of styles by reinterpreting found objects, including showcasing furniture designed by local artists. Their basement expansion includes an art gallery space which will host a new exhibit encompassing a combination of 1 – 5 designers and followed by a wine and cheese evening, where individuals can meet with the designers in person every 2nd Thursday of each month.
Be there this thursday [today!], march 16th at 8pm for an opening reception presenting: NovoPath, Marrs, Columbine Studio, Year of the Rooster, Christopher Oxner & the Brothers Dressler at Koma Furniture Gallery 1239 Queen Street West, Toronto. Gallery hours: Tuesdays - Saturday 11am to 7pm | Sunday 12-5pm.
