Standing on the roof, to my right the view for miles is of highways, condos and parking lots baking in the sun; to my left several roofs forming a dense texture in a downtown neighborhood where some vegetation found its way to a roof and called it home. The roof top offers a different view of Toronto, not only that of its skyline, but also of numerous mystery spaces inhabited by people, objects, vegetation… one can even say the roof tops is a layer of Toronto that has a culture of its own swarming with life. What magic is the best a rooftop can offer? [Mona Elali / superkül ]
