ROYAL BANK TOWER, 200 BAY ST. AT FRONT
reena: there was a kind of magic behind the gold building at bay and front when i was 7. my grade 2 teacher explained it had real gold in the glass. very, very thin real gold. we were on a class trip, looking at the downtown architecture.
vicky: as in real gold and not just the colour? that's so decadent it's insane.
reena: it made me want to be a rock star.
vicky: really? a rock star, with a glam gold guitar and hot boots?
reena: you look stunning with your gold glitter and magic wand in the freezing cold. what were you thinking?
vicky: i was luxuriating in the gold trinkets around me, the building being only one of my props. you can't see them in the picture, but i'm also wearing the gold bracelet and ring my mother gave me. they were gifts, but i rarely have an occasion to wear them.
reena: you accessorized with the building!
vicky: i wonder who built this golden monstrosity and among what other props of his did it stand?
