You find it everywhere on the Spit but I never see anyone actually creating what I refer to as Evidence Art. It can be as simple as a symmetrical stack of bricks or as complicated as a mosaic tile floor complete with a stone firepit. Some remind me of inukshuk. They last a few weeks before being rebuilt or destroyed. Sometimes I get the feeling that it was a centerpiece in a transient home. An outdoor art gallery displaying unknown artists, curated by the availability of material and judged by ghost critics. I have started documenting it as proof of its existence.
