Bringing together the work of Glasgow based artist Fiona Jardine and Montreal artist Lauren Nurse, Leisure Projects presents a special one-night event - a collaborative environment of art and music amongst the glittering reflection of mirrors and traces of a late '60s Montreal aesthetic. Jardine's carefully mapped geometric wall painting provides a formalist grid for the enigmatic images glimpsed through Nurse's circular mirrors. Temporarily united, their work creates an environment of obscured reveries and revelries, mid-night creatures and disco spent dancers.

Fiona Jardine is an artist based in Glasgow, Scotland. Having completed her MFA at the Glasgow School of Art in 2003, she has exhibited in Glasgow, London, Rotterdam, Mexico, and Paris.

Montreal artist Lauren Nurse graduated from Concordia Fine Arts in 2002 and has exhibited extensively in Montreal and Toronto and completed residencies in Newfoundland and Vermont. She is currently represented by Sandra Goldie Gallery, Montreal.

Leisure Projects is an independent artist-curator initiative that seeks opportunities in glamorous hotel basements, tiny modernist apartments and in the gaps of established gallery programming. Leisure Projects is the delirious brainchild of artist/curators Meredith Carruthers and Susannah Wesley.
